John Iversen
This German born Long Island jeweler is best known for his leaf interpretations. He uses actual leafs that he finds on the ground. Than cover the back with wax to increase their thickness and give them strength. He does not touch the front. Through a process similar to lost wax, they are converted to gold, bronze or silver. He is skilled at preserving the patterns, surface and personality of the leaf in these exciting replicas. He often applies a beautiful patina to enhance the piece. John is known for his large scale and minimal enamels, and his botanical jewelry. Brooches and earrings from $550.
